T.I. Performs "Live Your Life" w/ Taylor Swift

Last night, T.I. made his first concert performance since being released from prison last week. The location? None other than Atlanta’s Phillps Arena as Taylor Swift surprised the second sold-out crowd of 14,000. T.I. joined her on stage in front of his hometown crowd for a rendition of “Live Your Life” a night after Usher did the same on Saurday night (October 1). Some of the spectators included Young Jeezy and Nelly, who both were backstage to witness The Kang’s return to the big stage.

Diddy Involved In Club Incident

Hip hop mogul Diddy was in the middle of a confrontation that occurred this weekend during BET Hip Hop Awards Weekend. Diddy was MCing a party at popular Atlanta club Compound alongside newly-released rapper T.I. When Diddy allegedly spotted a few patrons holding up bottles of Grey Goose instead of Ciroc--which is the vodka company Diddy promotes, of which he also has an ownership share--he went into a tirade on the microphone and threw a drink across the room.

"Put that sh** down. It's Ciroc Boys in the building," he yelled. "What you gonna do? This is my house!"

Early reports suggested he was yelling at Kenny Burns, but that rumor was dismissed.

T.I., who just came from an 11-month prison stay, diffused the situation immediately.

"What's going on in this muthaf-ka?" Tip said. "I'm going to tell you like this, you will not f-k my hundred million up for nothing in this muthaf-ka. I don't give a f-k what's going on. I ain't for that fight s-t. I will get the f-k on out of this b--h and let ya'll have it. I've done enough time. Ain't nobody else in this muthaf-ka talking about fighting and have did time. I ain't trying to do it. Puff you got too much money for that sh-t nicca. Let that n*gga drink what the f-k he wanna drink, f-k that s-t. They ain't getting money for drinking that sh-t, they paid to drink that sh-t. I love you and will go to war for you but come on man!"

T.I., DMX Appear At BET Awards

The BET Awards taped in Atlanta this weekend at the Civic Center, and the star-studded event was not without its share of surprises--most notably, two recently-released rap superstars made surprise appearances onstage. Both T.I. and DMX took the stage to the delight of the crowd.

Atlanta native T.I., who had just been released from a halfway house two days prior to the show, gave a high-energy performance for the fans. DMX and superproducer Swizz Beatz performed a medley of X's hits, including "Ruff Ryders Anthem," "Get At Me Dog," and "Party Up."

The BET Hip Hop Awards will air on October 11th.

T.I. Gives Post-Prison Interview

T.I. officially returned home this week after serving an 11-month sentence for violating his probation in September of 2010. He talked to V-103 about his outlook and his time locked away.[video here] He also revealed that he wasn't happy with the 'new T.I.' that emerged in 2009 after he was sentenced to prison for weapons possession.

"When I went through everything I was going through, [I became] the new, sophisticated, Paper Trail, upper echelon T.I.," he said. "All of those people [who liked this new T.I.] were the ones quickest to give me their back pockets to kiss. The ones who really stayed down with me was them Bank Head natives. The ones who supported them first two albums. So I feel like I'ma stay down with who stayed down with me."

"I owe that to myself. I really don't owe anyone any explanation. I think I had to grow to that point. I can't live for ya'll. Ya'll like my music and I appreciate that. Ya'll like me as a person and I appreciate that wholeheartedly. However, I don't owe all these explanations to all these different people I don't even know," he continued. "If you have disagreements with the way I move, with the way I operate, that's fine, you're entitled to it. But at the end of the day, I got to live my life for these people. For my family, for my children, and I'm going to do what's best for them. You don't have to believe me. And I can't make you believe me. There's nothing I can say to make you believe me. But I got to live my life for [my family]."

T.I. Filming Reality Show

Newly-released rapper T.I. will star in a new reality show for VH1. The show will follow his life and journey, post-incarceration. Tip was released to a halfway house on yesterday (August 31) after serving ten months in prison.

The new show will debut on December 5th and is slated to air 10 episodes.

The show is billed as a project that will follow T.I.'s attempts to “re-acclimate back into his life as a father, husband, son and friend, as well as a musician, a clothier, a businessman, and an actor.”

“Viewers have always connected with T.I. and we are definitely thrilled to show the next chapter of this incredible artist’s riveting life with this new series,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Original Programming and Production VH1. “T.I. is such a multi- talented artist and actor, and though he has had some setbacks, there is no doubt he will use his considerable talents to get back on top of both the music and film business.”

T.I. Released From Prison

Rapper T.I. was released from prison a month early, after all. The Atlanta native walked out of prison today (August 31) following his 11-month stint for violating his probation in September 2010. The rapper, born Clifford Harris, was released from prison in Forrest City, Arkansas at 7:30 am.

"Feels great to be back where I belong...Back in the arms of those who need me the most," T.I. tweeted. "The storm is over & da sun back out. IT'S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!"

There are reports that Tip will begin filming a new reality show. The rapper has not issued any statement regarding his immediate plans.

T.I. To Be Released from Prison Wednesday

T.I.’s coming home this week. Following an 11-month sentence for a parole violation after an L.A. drug arrest, T.I. will be released to a Halfway House on Wednesday from the Forrest City Correctional Facility in Georgia. The release comes a month early as the King of The South was orginally to be freed on Septemeber 29th. One of the first thing’s on TIP’s agenda? According to DJ Drama, he’s planning to publish a book. Until then fans hopefully will get some new music in the near future.

T.I. Issues Final Prison Letter

Incarcerated rapper T.I. has issued his last letter from prison as he nears his anticipated release next month. The rapper was sentenced to a year in prison for violating his probation in the fall of 2010, and he is set to be released on September 29th.

"What up world? This will be my last message from Forrest City," T.I. writes. "Just reaching out and sending my love, respect and appreciation to all who have been ridin’ with me throughout this chapter in my life and not just recently but since all the things started happening one after another back in ’06. From Big Phil’s murder to my beautiful little angel Leiah being called home to heaven, to my arrest in ’07, the 1st prison sentence in ’09, to this last journey that I’m nearing the end of. A lot of people who are aware of all that has happened to me in my life say that there aren’t many men who could have endured and withstood so much pain, pressure and turmoil while managing to remain sane and keep their wits about them. I must say that I wouldn’t have been able to do so without God’s grace and having a strong support system behind me every step of the way."

"So often we spend time acknowledging the presence of “haters” and all the negativity they send our way but we don’t take the time to acknowledge and appreciate all the ones who love and support us and supply us with the positive energy we need to overcome," Tip continued. "We complain about the pain so much that we don’t even notice how much stronger, wiser and better of a person the suffering has allowed us to become. I heard Pac say once 'To live is to suffer and to survive is to find meaning in that suffering.' I later found out it came from an author by the name of Friedrich Nietzsche. When I heard Pac say that it was just some hard sh*t to hear your favorite rapper say before he kicked a verse. Now that I’ve gone through it and grown from it those words have a real true meaning to me. I know this won’t be my last battle with adversity but it has truly prepared me for whatever else may come in the future. For that also I’m thankful. Now it goes without saying that I hate I had to come back to prison for these 10 months but I am truly grateful for the knowledge, growth and understanding I’ve received from the experience."
