‘Hung,’ 'Bored to Death', ‘How to Make It in America’ canceled, as HBO preps for new slate in 2012
Say so long to “Hung,” “Bored to Death” and “How to Make It in America.”
Home Box Office on Tuesday officially confirmed the three series would be sent to the scrap heap as a way to make room for a new slate of six series on the docket for 2012.
Network officials have also revealed they have renewed “Enlightened,” the comedy starring Laura Dern, for a second season.
“Hung” starred Thomas Jane as a well-endowed guy who turned to male prostitution after his world fell part. It recently completed its third season.
“Bored to Death” is a three-seasons-old drama about a writer who moonlights as a private eye.
“How to Make It in America,” an ensemble dramedy starring Lake Bell and Luiz Guzman, is about a group of folks trying to make it in the fashion industry.
The network has six new series for the coming year, which includes “Luck,” a horse-racing drama and a project from Aaron Sorkin.
