Young Jeezy goes five for five on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart as "TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition" gives him his fifth No. 1 in five tries.
The set bows atop the list with 233,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan and follows his chart-topping 2008 release "The Recession." He also led the tally with 2005's "Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101," 2006's "The Inspiration" and the "Cold Summer: the Authorized Mixtape" in 2007 (which was credited to Young Jeezy Presents U.S.D.A.).
On the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, Jeezy's "Hustlerz" starts at No. 3, marking his fifth top five set -- again, all of his releases have charted in the region.
Back on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, Drake's "Take Care" slips 1-2 with 131,000 (despite a gain of 71%) while Rihanna's "Talk That Talk" rises 4-3 (99,000; up 83%). Amy Winehouse's "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" drops 2-4 (75,000; up 16%) and Common's "The Believer, the Dreamer" debuts at No. 5 with 69,000.
For Common, "The Dreamer" is his ninth charting set overall, stretching back to 1997's "One Day It'll All Make Sense," which debuted and peaked at No. 12. All told, "Dreamer" is his sixth top 10 set, and follows his last studio effort, 2008's "Universal Mind Control," which topped out at No. 4.
Mary J. Blige's "My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act I)" descends 5-6 (69,000; up 75%), Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" is steady at No. 7 (56,000; up 93%) and Beyoncé's "4" falls 8-9 (46,000; up 137%). Rounding out the top 10 are Anthony Hamilton's "Back to Love," falling 3-9 (41,000; down 34%) and Jay-Z & Kanye West's "Watch the Throne," moving 8-10 (39,000; up 73%).
Switching gears, over on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Wale's "Lotus Flower Bomb" (featuring Miguel) holds at No. 1 for a second week, extending its lead over the No. 2 single, "Ni**as in Paris" by Jay-Z and Kanye West. (Don't cry for the latter -- it already spent seven straight weeks atop the list.)
Beyoncé's "Party" (featuring Andre 3000) holds at No. 3 for a third consecutive frame, after peaking at No. 2 for four weeks. "Party" remains the highest-charting song from her "4" album, which has spawned a total of five R&B/Hip-Hop Songs hits. "4" also spun off: "Run the World (Girls)" (No. 30), "Best Thing I Never Had" (No. 4), "Countdown" (No. 21) and "Love On Top" (which rises 21-19 this week).
Drake's "Make Me Proud" (featuring Nicki Minaj) hits a new peak this week as it rises 5-4. Minaj is also found at No. 5, where she is featured on Big Sean's "Dance (A$$)," which switches places with "Make," falling 4-5.
Lil Wayne's "She Will" (featuring Drake) is stationary at No. 6, as is Wale's "That Way" (featuring Jeremih and Rick Ross) at No. 7. Ross is also helping hold down the No. 8 spot, as his "You the Boss" jumps 10-8 (featuring Minaj).
Minaj has three singles in the top 10 for the fourth week in a row (all thanks to featured turns). She is only the second woman to chart three simultaneous top 10 singles since the chart began using Nielsen data to power its rankings in December 1992. The first was Ashanti, who claimed a trio of hits on the charts dated March 16 and March 23, 2002.
As for the rest of the top 10 this week: J. Cole's "Can't Get Enough" holds at No. 9 and Drake's "Headlines" falls 8-10.
