Rapper Q-Tip has announced an upcoming Michael Jackson Birthday Tribute Show. The A Tribe Called Quest frontman will perform with DJ Spinna at New York City's Irving Plaza on Saturday, August 27th at 9 p.m.
"Michael Jackson was a huge influence on my music and was an inspiration to me and so many others. I want to bring people together to celebrate the man, his music and his legacy that will undoubtedly live on forever!" said Q-Tip in a statement.
The event will take placee just days before what would have been Jackson’s 53rd birthday.
