Kanye West Leads VMA Nominations With 7, Followed By Eminem With 3 & Tyler The Creator With 2


Kanye West is in position to win big at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. West leads all male performers with seven nominations including Best Hip Hop Video, Best Male Video and Best Collaboration for his work with Katy Perry on "E.T."

Both Eminem and Nicki Minaj got three nominations each. Minaj got nods for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Female Video, while Em was nominated for Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Male Video.

Newcomer Tyler, The Creator of Odd Future has made a big impact in a short period of time and is being rewarded for it with two nominations. Tyler has a shot at two Moonman trophies in the categories of Best New Artist and Video Of The Year for "Yonkers."

On the female pop front Katy Perry and British singer Adele are at the top. Perry has a VMA leading nine nominations while Adele has seven.
