According to TMZ.com ‘This morning, police arrived to the apartment Mario shares with his mother, Shawntia Hardaway, to find a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door. Apparently, Mario had a little temper tantrum and Shawntia told police he had pushed her around with his hands and forearms. Shawntia, a former heroin addict, also said that 24-year-old Mario had attacked her earlier in the week when he pushed her into a living room wall making her hit her head.’
Mario was arrested this morning for 2nd degree assault. He was released on $50,000 bond.
The FLY Guys Take on this... Let Us not be so quick to Judge Mario, or any other person who is dealing with a family member who has a history of drug abuse. It’s no easy thing to deal with at all, trust me. The awful thing about celebrity is living your life in front of the camera, people seem less sympathetic to your human reactions. Peope act as if celebrities are not normal human beings. They Are. If you remember Mario’s documentary on MTV a few years back, you remember that his Mom had a history of failed rehabilitation attempts. Keep that in mind when hearing all the allegations that are about to surface. The issue then and what seems to be now, is that he wants his Mom close to him so he can keep an eye on her. Honorable-yes, but it puts him in an awkward position if she starts using drugs again. This is all the information we know and with that-Our Prayers are with you Mario.
