Shots Fired: Nas Calls Out Rappers For Selling Out “F**k Pop, F**k All That S**t!”
Nasty Nas is back
Recently, Nas performed at his release party for his latest album “Life Is Good” at Tammany Hall in NYC. Nas hit the stage and performed his new records as well as some classics. As well as dropping all the hits, he took a moment to speak on the state of hip-hop…
The ‘Cherry Wine’ rapper said, “This is music that I just put together, I’m praying will be the inspiration for my brothers that’s in the rap game. I think a lot of us are confused about who we are.”
“It’s important that we stay ten toes down at all time. F**k pop, f**k all that s**t. We don’t imitate pop, pop imitates us! So that’s why we go back to the gutter.”
With this speech that got the crowd going wild, the rapper confirmed that he is happy to making music that he is still making.
He added, “We’re number one in about 5 or 6 countries around the world. And none of this is pop. Stick to your guns, do what you do support the real s**t.”
